Today, we're thrilled to highlight the accomplishments of our student worker—Madison Comella, working out of our office in Reno.

About Madison:

Madison graduated from the University of Nevada at Reno earlier this month with bachelor's degrees in Economics, Finance, and Philosophy. Notably, Madison graduated Magna Cum Laude and with the 1874 Scholars distinction from the UNR Honors College. In her academic career, she has served as the president of UNR"s Economics Club, a teaching assistant for the UNR College of Business, and conducted undergraduate research. Joining Manufacture Nevada in her sophomore year, she has been an integral part of our team for the past three years.

Achievements and Contributions:

Madison has been instrumental in supporting our team by managing daily finance and accounting processes, as well as leading various data analysis projects. Additionally, through our company's rebranding and expansion, Madison has adeptly aided the Manufacture Nevada team through these cyclical changes. Her contributions have spanned across finance, events, social media, and administrative tasks, showcasing her versatility and dedication.

Madison has applied her analytical skills in other areas of UNR's Research and Innovation department through her undergraduate research on Human-Elephant Conflict mitigation strategies in Sri Lanka. She has gone on to present her research at international conferences and is working on publishing findings. She inspires our staff and the Manufacture Nevada team with how much she has grown over the past few years and how she's continued to find unique ways to apply her studies in Finance, Economics, and Philosophy. Her dedication in all professional and academic endeavors has been a motivating force at Manufacture Nevada over the past three years.

Madison received UNR's 2024 Student Worker of the Year Award

Future Goals:

When asked about her favorite part of working at Manufacture Nevada, Madison remarked that "Being able to put my academic skills into practice has been rewarding. Not only was I able to see the applicability of material I was tested on in my courses, but I could also see the impact of our team's work, increasing the breadth and depth of benefits that Manufacture Nevada can provide to Nevada's manufacturing industry."

We are sad to see Madison leave the team yet we are excited and hopeful for the bright future ahead of her. She has been a remarkable student worker and we are glad to have had the opportunity to witness her growth and contributions firsthand. Madison is currently seeking post-graduate employment and considers attaining a graduate degree in the near future.
